The two-day Manufacturing Supply Chain Officer Summit (MSCO) was held last week in Shanghai, China. Under the patronage of CISCO, AVA Consulting Partners, St.Onge, DIMERCO, Pivott 88, GEFCO, GoIndustry DoveBid, the summit focused on the” Tomorrow’s Risk in Supply Chain.”

Infineon Lead Principal Supply Chain, Hans Ehm explained:”In the past it was required to manage front and SC fast, cost efficient and full visible. Now we can benefit also from global production flexibility - the global SC in our Fab Semiconductor industry faces steep ramps, short life cycles and long lead times.”
“But, the real risk comes from the nonaligned supply chains is the bullwhip effect. Supply chain challenges and preliminary answers in the semiconductor industry is ‘educate to collaborate.’ How to master this complexity are based on aligned processes ( SCOR), best of breed IT Tools and a superior education program- internal and external.” He added.
