What is Shared Resources?

Shared resources refers to an outsourcing delivery (or engagement) model in which an organization’s employees, or resources, are shared among different teams and programs. This means resources can support multiple clients, service lines and industries at the same time.

The primary objective of this model, which is also called one-to-many, is to optimally use the employees and help them deploy best practices and share their experience across industries. However, as resources divide their time between different projects, they may prioritize one project over another, which can impact their performance and overall results.
